Welcome to my site dedicated to my beautiful Shih Tzu.

The Shih Tzu is a companion dog, born only to love and be loved, they are a breed suitable for all types of people and lifestyles.  It will lavish love on you and ask only that you love and care for it in return.

The Shih Tzu will burst into a room with enthusiastic exuberance, demand that its presence be acknowledged, then stretches out on its favourite chair or couch, satisfied to be in the company of its loved ones.  More than most other breeds, the Shih Tzu thrives on family companionship and, without it, life to a Shih Tzu is just not worth living.

The Shih Tzu is seldom shy and is generally good-natured even under stressful conditions.  Unlike many other breeds, the Shih Tzu enjoys each others company without scrapping.   They retain their youthful spirit well into old age and can spend long periods in deep meditation, like small Buddha's.

The Shih Tzu will bark when there is a knock on the door, but they are not yappers and, once they know the person is a friend rather than foe, they will turn on the charm and captivate the visitor in no time at all.

Although undoubtedly of Tibetan and Chinese origin, no one knows how the eunuchs in their palace experiments added a dash of lion, several teaspoons of rabbit, a couple of ounces of old Chinese men, a bit of a beggar, a tablespoon of monkey, one part baby seal and a dash of teddy bear.
